Reese’s Mini Cups: The Proportionally Correct Chocolate Snack

There’s an age-old mystery about Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups that I have recently deciphered…have you noticed that the miniature Reese’s cups taste better than the regular-sized ones? What can be the reason behind this? I’ve known for years that it was true, but I could never quite put my finger on it until today.

The real deal behind the whole thing is simply this: Because the miniature Reese’s cups have less room to work with, the peanut-butter-to-chocolate ratio is much higher; meaning, there’s more peanut butter than there is chocolate in the mini cups versus the real cups. This is actually what makes them taste so doggone good.

At the end of the day, I’ll take either.
